Mr Rohit Kumar is a Consultant ENT Surgeon offering a comprehensive adult and paediatric ENT service in Greater Manchester and Macclesfield. After graduating from Leicester-Warwick Medical School in 2004, he went on to complete his registrar training throughout the North East and the North West of England, following which he undertook a period of advanced Paediatric training at the Children’s Hospital of Westmead in Sydney, Australia.
Mr Kumar undertakes assessment and treatment for all aspects of general ear, nose and throat conditions but also has a specialist interest in cancers of the head and neck as well as children’s ENT disorders.
He is the clinical lead for the Head and Neck Oncology at Wythenshawe Hospital and is a core member of the Christie Thyroid team. In addition, he is on the Greater Manchester Cancer Pathway Board, playing a vital role in improving cancer care across the city.
Mr Kumar runs a regular children’s ENT clinic where he cares for children of all ages, offering a wide range of non-surgical and surgical treatments for your child.
Education is major part of Mr Kumar’s interests and he is responsible for supporting the training of the doctors of tomorrow in both the Medical School and for those specialising in ENT.
Outside of work, Mr Kumar spends his time with his wife and three young children, running, playing squash and Karate.
